Discover the Best Places to Golf in Daytona Beach

The prospect of golfing at some of the finest golf courses in the United States draws thousands of visitors to Daytona Beach every year.  If you’re lucky enough to be a resident of the community, you can enjoy golf daily. With pristine golf courses located nearby, you will be able to golf with the sounds and smells of the ocean as your backdrop. The excellent options for golf earned Daytona Beach a spot among the top 15 best places to play in Golf Digest. If you are looking for an excellent course to visit, consider these popular ones.

Daytona Beach Golf Club
The Daytona Beach Golf Club offers 36 holes of golf for golfers of all ability levels. This is the course where the Daytona Beach Open is hosted as well as tournaments of all others types are hosted throughout the year.

The Daytona Beach Golf Club is broken up into two main courses. The South Course is a Donald Ross designed course, with a sporty, yet demanding design. The North Course was designed by Slim Deathridge in 1946 and was re-built in 1997. The course is quite challenging and winds through mature Florida oak and pine trees with a substantial amount of water. In addition to these two courses, the Daytona Beach Golf Club has the Jane Cerrone Short Course, designed for inexperienced and young players. The beginner-friendly course encourages families to enjoy the game together.

LPGA International
The LPGA International Golf Course is home to two 18-hole championship courses. The facility sits just off I-95 on the city's north side. The courses are typical Florida-style courses with sand and water hazards and feature the designs of Arthur Hills and Rees Jones. Excellent conditions and high-quality facilities make this a favorite among skilled golfers.

Golf Club at Cypress Head
The Golf Club at Cypress Head is often called one of the best public courses in Daytona Beach FL. This is the course to choose if you are looking for excellent golf at an affordable price. This course boasts an Art Hills design and is situated in a residential community. Golfers will find a number of water and wetland features, but the large tees and good sized greens make it easier to avoid these.

Venetian Bay Golf Club
The Venetian Bay Golf Club in New Smyrna Beach rounds out the list of top Daytona Beach golf courses. While this course is in a development, it was carefully designed so no course has houses on both sides. It is a Clifton, Ezell and Clifton design and provides a course that is challenging enough for experienced players but doable for new players as well. In addition to the main course, this golf club has a practice putting green, chipping green and driving range.

By making the move to Daytona Beach FL, you can enjoy the benefit of these golf courses every single weekend. Talk to the team at Watson Realty Corp to start the search for your dream home.
